A California born, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. However, she later chose to make a move as an actress. She made her screen debut in the year 2010 with an episode of the CBS program "NCIS". Her big-screen debut occurred a year later, in the biographical crime-drama film 'J Edgar'. Through the seasons, she was able to establish herself among the best performers of the day.
