Sasha revealed that she had been transgender for a while. Her family was there for her through the tough times, and she knew that she was capable of doing anything with music. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters and were just recently forming an official band. Since then they've appeared in numerous local venues, including open mics. The Voice coaches never discussed Sasha's background, but Jim and Sasha shared their story in a clip that was played prior to their performance. Sasha first started playing guitar when she was just six years old. Jim and Sasha discussed their music tastes and shared stories about the first time they met. The fact that his father was a music instructor made it easier for him to master the art. Sasha had issues with identity when he was a kid, being a woman. In a post on Instagram, he recently opened up about the struggles he faced. Jim was overwhelmed with emotion when he shared his reasons for not being in a position to assist in these tough times. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, was born a girl. Sasha Allen will be 19 to be 19 in 2021. Sasha made public his trans identity during his first year in high school and began transitioning from female to male. Sasha posted on Instagram that he was the third trans person who had ever appeared on the series. He stated that he felt honored and proud to represent all trans people.
