Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the leading role in the 1972 Stephen Schwartz Broadway musical "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin", a musical starring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina gave her unique contemporary spin on the award-winning Ben Vereen's character and did a great job at mastering the Fosse dance moves which are vital to the production. Her performance was recognized with a Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was awarded for Outstanding Actress. She previously performed the role as the Leading Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" from December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
